LUXE ORIENTA | Xiangyunsha Horse-Face Skirt & Embroidered Blouse

Xiangyunsha Horse-Face Skirt & Embroidered Blouse

The romance unique to Eastern aesthetics has always been hidden within every fold of garments and hemlines.

Graduation season is approaching, and I was stuck wondering what to wear to my friend’s commencement. Then I came across this new Chinese-style outfit from LUXE ORIENTA, and I instantly fell for it. Dressing in traditional Chinese attire for the graduation ceremony feels incredibly ceremonial and meaningful. Many thanks to Junjun and the brand for giving me the chance to wear such a gorgeous horse-face skirt set.

Adhering to the core philosophy of "Oriental luxury, blending East and West", it combines Shanghai charm with traditional Eastern aesthetics, and infuses the essence of classic Chinese costumes into modern tailoring. I was amazed the moment I unboxed the package. It comes with a pale purple gift box and a sheer white organza bag, decorated with delicate pale blue traditional frog fasteners that perfectly embody classic Eastern elegance. The exquisite packaging gives off a true haute-couture vibe.

Cream Silk Embroidered Blouse | Phoenix Jacquard

Cream Silk Embroidered Blouse | Phoenix Jacquard

This blouse in soft cream hue features 100% pure mulberry silk fabric, which is ultra-smooth and gentle against the skin. It is lightweight yet fully opaque, with an excellent drape.
The subtle phoenix jacquard pattern is faint and only noticeable up close; from a distance, it simply exudes premium texture with a soft, natural sheen. Under light, the jacquard creates a subtle embossed effect — understated, elegant and undeniably luxurious.

Designed with a minimalist modern silhouette, it features a small round neck and a slight asymmetric placket. Unlike formal traditional cheongsam collars, this design feels relaxed and unrestricted, and the blouse is easy to put on and take off.
Tiny green buttons embellish the asymmetric placket and cuffs, resembling smooth jade and adding a gentle touch. I’m also obsessed with the fine traditional hand embroidery on the cuffs, which is exquisitely crafted.
Besides pairing it with the matching horse-face skirt, this blouse also goes well with other midi skirts in my wardrobe. I styled it with a pale pink skirt this time, and the combination of cream and soft pink creates a tender, pure and soothing look.

Pure Silk Xiangyunsha Horse-Face Skirt | Blossom & Fortune Embroidery

Made of premium 100% pure mulberry silk, this skirt adopts the sophisticated traditional Xiangyunsha dyeing technique. It boasts a soft matte luster, outstanding air permeability and a superior flowing drape.
The deep inky black base is adorned with understated floral jacquard weaves, adding rich layers and a luxurious flair even from afar — a hallmark of authentic high-grade Xiangyunsha craftsmanship.

The hem is decorated with intricate hand-embroidered peonies, chrysanthemums and vivid butterflies. These classic motifs in Chinese culture symbolize prosperity, longevity, joy and freedom. The embroidery is concentrated only on the hem, with ample blank space across the rest of the skirt, creating a clean, balanced and sophisticated look.
The vertical green trim down the front visually lengthens the figure. As a top-tier traditional Chinese fabric, Xiangyunsha delivers exceptional drape and luster. Walking in this skirt feels effortless and full of refined charm.
Matched with the cream embroidered blouse, it softens the heaviness of the black skirt. The dark green lines on the skirt also echo the green buttons on the top, forming a harmonious full look brimming with authentic Eastern charm. I received many compliments from passers-by when taking photos in this outfit.

Sizing Reference

I am 170cm tall, and my weight ranges between 125 and 128 pounds. I chose size L for both pieces. The blouse fits perfectly. For the skirt, I think it would be even better if it were slightly longer to cover part of the instep. After checking the official size chart: if the waist fits well but you prefer a longer hemline, we recommend sizing up. For horse-face skirts, it’s better to go one size larger than smaller, as the built-in belt allows for waist adjustment.
